• I found this book at Borders bookstore. It is a book about the public's preconceptions about extraterrestrial encounters. It asks lots of questions about how encountering aliens would change us as people and as a society. It offers a wide range of perspectives on what the issue of first contact, and asks a lot of thought provoking questions.

1. Can you easily identify the claim, reasons, and evidence provided in the resource?
           Yes, the video explaines everything. The claim is that Edgar Mitchel, an astronaut who has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize has had encounters with extraterrestrial aircrafts. His reasons and evidence are his first hand experiences and accounts.

2. Do the evidence and reasons logically support the claim? Why or why not?
           Yes they do, they are his first hand experience with extraterrestrials.

3. Do you have a similar resource that either argues the same perspective or conducts a similar study.
           Yes, there are many other credible officials who are willing to disclose their stories, risking ridicule and their jobs.

4. If so, did the two resources use similar methods for gathering and presenting data for  their argument? How are they similar and different?
           Yes, they "used simila methods" in that they are all just people's expriences. They are similar in that they are making the same points, but different in that some people have seen aircraft, some have seen actual aliens, and some have just seen gov't documents containing information on legitimate alien contact.

Animoto Introduction

The first shot in the video is one of my pen drawings. I do a lot of drawing, it is one of my favorite things to do! Another one of my favorite activities is traveling and that's where the rest of these pictures came from. I absolutely love traveling, as I have a long running love affair with the rest of the world. This summer I backpacked Europe, fulfilling a life long dream and I plan on doing it again next summer.
I am a mulit dimensional being, and I truely believe in finding peace within oneself, rather than looking for it without. I meditate every day and believe it is the key to finding peace and discovering the power that every one of us holds over our lives.
I am currently deep into the Harry Potter series at book four. I don't know why I didn't read these books ages ago like everyone else!
I like meeting people and learning new things.

Weekly Calendar Sheet

I currently have a very open schedule. I am in school full time and I am lucky enough not to have to work. Therefore I have tons of time to dedicate to this class and other classes.
I suspect that I will spend maybe an hour every day working online with this class.
Do you think that is enough?
I have been on here for just over an hour already today, but considering that it's the first day of class and that I am doing the inital set up of all the technologies, it seems normal.
